After a lot of research, I settled on an ICON hitch lock for my new trailer. Other locks out there carrying 5-star reviews that are cheaper, and there is no lock that cannot be defeated. That said, this lock is a brute and will take a significant amount of time to defeat, I don't care what you throw at it. The other locks that I saw, with 5-star ratings only took minutes to defeat with a simple crowbar when you dug deeper. If you have a trailer that is worth some money, this is the lock you need/want. Spend the extra bucks for the peace of mind this lock will provide.

If you're not sure the lock will fit your coupler - just call them!

I discovered Altor locks after watching the LockPickingLawyer on Youtube. I am very pleased with all 25 pounds of it! The customer service is outstanding. If I get another trailer, then I'll buy another Altor lock.

This is very heavy duty as described, it would probably be easier to cut then weld a new tongue on instead of trying to remove the "ICON"

What a solidly built lock. It will definitely not be cut off in a short amount of time. The noise and attention being made in anyone’s attempt would dissuade most dirt bags.
I appreciate the screw-on stainless steel lock protector against the elements. However, It would be nice if it was attached to the lock with some sort of cable. I can foresee being totally absent minded and leaving it on the ground or trailer’s edge while attaching/removing the lock from coupler and than driving off.
Customer service is excellent. AND you’re talking to an actual human!! I had ordered the wrong size for my demco coupler. I called and made arrangements to have it replaced. The lock was replaced quickly.

Have had this lock for nearly 8 years. It’s amazing. Just order a new one for my wife’s new bike. It’s the lightest and most secure lock on the market. I had the previous iteration and accidentally forgot my bike on the street in San Francisco overnight. The next day the bike was still locked. The locked was clearly tried to be Brocken and grinded but they abandoned their effort.

As a beginner RVr, I'm learning SO much. This lock is super simple to use a friend who welds heavy equipment recommended this over others I was considering. It's a bit awkward to carry and store so I ordered the storage bag - it would be wise to make this a part every order.

This lock gives me comfort knowing that my trailer is safe. I know a thief will give up before he steals my stuff. Look no further .
